Cobblestones Surfhouse was founded by Gazali “Hamzah” Anwar — a professional surfer, mentor, and local legend from the world-famous waves of Lakey Peak, Sumbawa. Known for his power and style, Gazali made his mark as a two-time “King of the Groms” and later as an Indonesian Surfing Champion.

As one of the first surfers from Sumbawa to compete internationally, Gazali opened the door for the next generation of Indonesian surfers. His career took him across the world — from Bali to Australia — where he competed on the World Surf League Qualifying Series and represented the heart and soul of Lakey Peak.

Today, Gazali brings that same passion and dedication to Cobblestones Surfhouse. His mission is simple: to share the spirit of surfing, community, and nature with everyone who visits. Whether you’re here to surf, relax, or connect — you’ll feel his energy in every wave and smile.
